On a completely unrelated note, I've been trying different things to fatten Holden up. Coconut milk [which he likes okay but will not drink out of a bottle], avocados [threw those up immediately], breastfeeding more, etc. Breastfeeding seems to be the best option. The problem is that since I hadn't been breastfeeding as much in the last month or so, my milk supply went way down. Unfortunately, I will have to turn to formula to supplement my breastmilk. I think I will do about half and half. I'm kind of upset about it and have a tiny, tiny understanding of women who can't breastfeed at all. I just want to do what's best for Holden. Even though it's not exactly what I want, I'm doing what I have to. Life is just like that sometimes. If any of you moms out there have any [HELPFUL] advice, send it my way!

Just keep nursing! The more you do, the more milk will come back! Trust me, supply and demand! :) My kids refused to drink milk or formula, so I just kept breastfeeding till they were old! Bunny was 2 and Pup was 14 months. It is the best you can give! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteOooooH! Forgot to say Congrats on the moving! :) Pup loved to crawl into her saucer thing too! :) They are fun when they can move, even if it means we need to keep up more!
ReplyDeleteOur pediatrician had me give Little Bit watered down apple juice. She went from the 5th percentile to the 90th in 6-8 months. Now she's dropping in percentile, in the 80's now.

ReplyDeleteHow old is Holden now?? We did cottage cheese with Parker and he loved it! That would give him a little more dairy. We had to do formula for P. It was definitely not what I wanted, but he's happy and healthy!
ReplyDeleteHe'll be 10 months on the 13th but I'm not going to give him dairy until after his 1st birthday so I think I'll hold off a little on the cottage cheese. I've given him some formula the last few days and it may be in my head but his legs look a little chunkier already :) That's all that matters - happy & healthy! Thanks for the advice :)
